The relocated and restored Laskay Hall was officially opened at the King Heritage & Cultural Centre in Kinghorn this past Sunday. One of the celebrants was King's 97-year-old 'Grand Dame' Mary Scott (left) who promised to be back on her 100th birthday, and said to book the date right away.
Also on hand were dignitaries such as King's volunteer extraordinaire, Virginia Atkins (right), Mayor Steve Pelligrini, three of the township's councillors and MP Deb Schulte.
Below are well-known and long-time King residents John and Jean Kell.
Pictured below are Chuck and Judy Leeming of Aurora.
Judy's family dates back to Scott settlers in King Township
in 1845.
