The first Red-winged Blackbird of the season showed up in the backyard on Tuesday afternoon. It was followed by a Grackle shortly thereafter. The Starlings were not impressed to see either of these early March arrivals. I'd better get some more birdseed.

They returned up our way this past week . For me , they are the sound of spring - never mind the 2 feet of snow and a forecast of -20.
ReplyDeleteMy dog generally ignores birds but hates Robins with a passion. Robins are back...so is the barking and charging into windows...all day long!
