The Country Day School
Junior School Expansion
The Junior School expansion of the Country Day School at Eversley on Dufferin Street is half way to its expected opening in September of this year. CDS first opened its doors in 1972 and the Junior School was initially expanded in the late 70s. The new construction will rejuvenate the existing indoor and outdoor junior spaces, including an inspirational new entrance and sunlit atrium to showcase the historic 1883 Eversley Schoolhouse.
The construction of a new wing will provide purpose-built classroom space for JK and SK students, additional naturally-lit classrooms, a permanent home for the Outdoor Education program, new administrative offices and an infirmary, along with infrastructure upgrades to the existing spaces such as sprinkler systems for all of the Junior School. Lastly, a new and modern playground and relocated playing field will create a seamless and transformative Junior School environment. The fall groundbreaking is expected to be finished in time for CDC's 50 anniversary celebration in September of this year.
