The sun finally came through the hazy fog on Sunday afternoon at Dog Tales sanctuary. The 50 or so rescued heavy horses must have been thinking they've died and gone to heaven on this beautiful, rolling 100-acre farm. The peacefulness of the setting is exemplified by the calmness of these heavy beasts of burden, now guaranteed a safe and dignified retirement. Winter officially starts two weeks from now, but the predicted temperatures for this coming week have been forecasted to reach double digits.
