I noticed a few days ago that the official list of birds seen and recorded at the Koffler Scientific Reserve at Jokers Hill, on Dufferin Street, stands at 163 species. The list includes many species of warblers, such as the Yellow-rumped Warbler (photo above) which I photographed at Jokers Hill, in 2009 while attending a naturalists training course. The list of 163 species is impressive and is the work of many qualified birders over a span of 43 years. Of course, KSR at Jokers Hill is located on the Oak Ridges Moraine, a landform which must be preserved in perpetuity ... for the birds and for us.
