The 'Grand River Belle' boat cruise
A gang of residents from Aurora's Delmanor Retirement Residence boarded the Grand River Belle, moored north of where the Grand River enters Lake Erie, this past Tuesday. The boat route was a return trip, on the river, between Onandaga and the Caledonia Dam (home of Canada's only 9-span concrete bridge). There are 82 species of fish in the Grand River watershed (that's 50% 0f all the fish species in Canada). The lunch, weather and boating were superb. Fellow passengers included a large group of seniors from Jamaica. The boats are docked on Big Creek that flows into the Grand River. The boat cruises between the town of Caledonia and the village of Onondaga with the Six Nations of the Grand River located along the south side of the river.
That looks like a lot of fun Barry. I had no idea that there were cruises on the Grand River.
