The big King Road bridge over the Humber River, just west of Jane Street in Kinghorn, started to receive its cement decking this week. Excellent progress has been made and the bridge should be finished in no time at all, right? Good for another 40 years.
I have had photos of the bison farm on the east side of Keele Street just north of Hwy. 9, on a few occasions over the last couple of years. But only during the past week have I noticedthe warning sign pictured above. I can't imagine anyone climbing over the fence into the bison enclosure. The bison are big beasts, have horns and be temperamental. Stay on Keele Street folks and take only pictures. For the record, buffalo in North America are known as bison.
Here's an image to turn you head as you go down Keele Street South in King City. It's a new hanging street poster designed to lift your spirits in the village this spring. Unfortunately, there didn't seem to be enough to put up on Keele Street North, or all of King Street. Maybe it's just a supply hold-up.
