Replacing a glass balcony door

 shattered by Minus 18C temperature

The full glass balcony door in my Delmanor Retirement Residence apartment recently froze and shattered into thousands of pieces.   But the thousands of pieces of broken safety glass, in the door, incredibly clung together, intact.  Service people arrived and  replaced the door glass, but it was an exacting process.  The still intact shattered glass was taped on post sides with red adhesive plastic strips.   The rubber molding holding the shattered glass panel to the door frame was stripped off, and the taped broken glass panel was lifted out and replaced by a brand new glass panel.  The workers doing the job had expertly and quickly done the job and it was very impressive to watch.
