Nature Reserve is now off-limits...

Regular visitors to the Cawthra Mulock Nature Reserve, on Dufferin Street, south of Ansnorveldt in the Holland Marsh, are advised to not enter the property due to its official designation as a sensitive wetland restoration area, where work is already underway by Ontario Nature, Ontario Heritage Trust, Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority and York Region.   Entrance to the same property is available off Bathurst Street, 1.5 kms. to the east, where the the Oak Ridges Moraine Land Trust office is located (see photo below).    




A new crushed limestone trail has been constructed at the reserve which leads to the pond (see photo below), where Snowdrops and Mayapples have begun to bloom.
