This photo was taken 64 years ago at a dress rehearsal of Gilbert & Sullivan's operetta HMS Pinafore at Aurora & District High School. That's me, on the right, in the role of Captain Corcoran, being somewhat outranged at the effrontery of a mere 'tar' speaking to a captain's daughter on board one of the British Royal Majesty's ships. The photo and a description of it are a part of a memory project that my oldest daughter Alliston has launched me on, reflecting on a myriad of events in my life which I found notable. The moments can be illustrated with art or photos, but I never expected to come across this photo from over six decades ago. As a matter of fact, Allison found it amongst some junk papers that I was about to dispose of!
The project I am completeing is available online, and asks for responses to many questions about one's life. It is a available to anyone who is interested in giving it a whirl. The questions are the same for all who try it. The more I get into it, the more I'm getting into it. We shall see what we shall see.
