Kawartha Voyageur boat trip - part 2

Passengers bundled up on the foredeck to view fall colours

This trip was the 6th time Pat and I have made water journeys aboard the Kawartha Voyageur.   The trips have taken us to "Big Chute" in South Muskoka, across Lakes Couchiching and Simcoe, through the Kawartha Lakes, down to Kingston and up the Rideau Canal system to Ottawa.

Each trip seemed equally memorable.   The Kawartha Voyageur boat itself, the Captain and his wife (the first mate and cook), the all-female crew, the meals and entertainment, were outstanding.   In fairness I have to say that we participants on these trips are mostly senior citizens and we really know how to enjoy ourselves...and we did!

One of many abandoned cottages form yesteryears

It's not all powerboats on the Kawartha lakes and rivers.

...and some some boats end up as flower beds on the sides of the locks.

Some of the all-female crew (above and below) of the Kawartha Voyager took a few minutes for an after-lunch impromptu lock-side touch football game.

More photos tomorrow.
