Additional clearing of the site in the middle of King City, on which the old, onetime, King City Bakery stands, continues. The building now stands starkly and its weary blemishes are even more noticeable. The photo immediately below shows the new view southward, from Hoop Street, across the King Road and down Doctors Lane.
The folks at the Township of King tell me no development proposal has been made for all the land surrounding the old bakery, and the bakery itself. But something will be proposed, methinks, and sooner rather than later.

At the cost of land these days nothing stands idle for very long. Older homes in Newmarket are being raised continuously as they are everywhere that a small builder can make some money.
ReplyDeleteIf I'm not mistaken this nice building was once a bookstore 'King's Pages'. Hope it will have a nice future again.
