Photo from Wemindji...

The photo above has nothing to do with King Township.  It was taken by my sister Denise Georgekish's daughter, April Dawn Georgekish-Gull, nearby to the Cree native village of Wemindji, on the eastern shore of James Bay in Northern Quebec, during a family outing.   April has become somewhat of a natural and talented photographer over the last couple of years.   In addition to capturing photos of Wemindji's community life, and that of her family, she seems intent on photographing and expressing her personal affinity for the natural environment and landscape of the place she calls home.

  1. She always takes the most amazing pictures. She has her uncle's eye!

  2. Splendid. The contrast in color and also the feel of stillness in the background and the action in the foreground is amazing.
