New photos of Cairns relatives at Museum...

I visited the King Heritage & Cultural Centre recently and came across some displayed photos of relatives of my late wife, Linda's (Cairns) family.   The collection of photos are part of a new historical display being mounted next month from a large, recently donated photo collection.

James Cairns, Helen Howe and Elmer Cairns with dog Buster and horses Minnie and Jess at Eversley, King Township, early 1930s.

Verna Cairns with her pet horse Queenie, Eversly, King Township, late 1920s.

Verna Cairns with puppies, Eversley, King Township, circa 1940s.

Elmer Cairns and his dog Jack, Eversley, King Township, circa 1930.

Man's best friend, King Township, from an original tintype photograph, late in the 19th century.

Baldwin family and their sheep, Kinghorn, King Township, circa 1908.

Please comment if you wish.

  1. Great photos of the Cairns family. When we were kids , I'd visit the farm with Elmer's nephew Ted Hunter. What a beautiful piece of land that was. Elmer was often seen driving to town to go shopping (king City) on his Ford tractor. Heading north on Keele St. for home with an ice cream cone he'd always smile and wave - a gentle soul.
