The story of lilac, according to Greek mythology, begins with a beautiful nymph named Syringa (lilac's botanical name). Captivated by her beauty, Pan, the god of the forests and the fields, chased Syringa through the forest. Frightened by Pan's approaches, Syringa escaped him by turning into an aromatic bush - the flower we know as lilac. The photos shown here were taken along Keele Street, between King City and Kettleby.
Lovely, and thank you for the story.
