Truck that moved Laskay Hall breaks down

Fortunately, it was two days after the move.

The huge truck that moved the Laskay Hall to its new home, at the heritage cultural centre in Kinghorn, on Wednesday of last week, broke down on Friday morning on the King Road, just east of the cemetary.   Laurie McCulloch, the building mover, from Whitby, and his masterful team of workers, must live charmed lives to squeak by a situation like this.   All's well that ends well, as they say.
