The Kettleby Valley Camp, has erected a new sign at the entrance to its facility on the west side of the hamlet of Kettleby. It includes a reference to RICHILDACA (Richmond Hill Day Camp) 1957, the forerunner of Kettleby Valley Camp. That's a 60+ year history for the classic kids summer camping experience.

Kettleby camp was my daughter's first job as a lifeguard. She was also the bus monitor in order to get a free ride each day from Newmarket. She needed this job on her resume in order to get a lifeguard/swim instructor job with the Town of Newmarket. She also made some goods friends at the camp.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the flashback Barry!
