Red-light cameras installed in King

Run a red light ~ pay $325 fine
20 red-light cameras are being installed throughout York Region in an effort to catch drivers running red traffic lights and to hopefully reduce the number of such offences, as well as accidents.   Two of the 20 such installations are near to King City.   Both are on the King Road, one at Dufferin Street (photos above) and one at Bathurst Street.   Both of these intersections have been identified as having more than average the number of T-bone or right-angle collisions.   All cameras should be operational by the end of June or early July.   We have been warned.
