The King City Airport and the Toronto Flying Club go back to the late 1960s in this location and was a popular private flying operation for almost 30 years. It eventually became the home of J.K.Beamish Construction Company for many years.

We used to drive drive by on Hwy 400 as a kid and we would all bet how many helicopters would be there.

The helicopter company sponsored(mid 60s)our midget hockey team. As I remember, their logo was on the jersey.
