Trenton to Rosedale, Ontario ~ 250 kilometers
From October 13-18 on Kawartha lakes and rivers
and through man-made channels & 32 locks
Pat and I have just finished a 5-day boat trip aboard the Kawartha Voyageur. Our trip was 250 kilometres from Trenton, on the north shore of Lake Ontario, northwest to Rosedale, Ontario, on the the Rosedale River in the city of Kawartha Lakes, between Balsam Lake and Cameron Lake.
Overall, the highlight of this mid-October passage had to be the fall colours along the rivers and lakeshores, in this south-eastern region of lower Ontario. Otherwise the built environment of this part of Ontario cottage country was endlessly eye-catching and appealing.
In fact, the trip started at the Holiday Inn in Peterborough where a bus coach took us down to Trenton to start the boat voyage back up to Rosedale.

This voyage continues tomorrow with many more photos from the trip.
