Bridal fashion through the years at museum

Something old,
something new,
something borrowed,
something blue,
and a silver sixpence
in her shoe.

I thought I knew this snippet  of wedding verse until I read the version above, which accompanies the 'Bridal Fashion through the years'  exhibit, at the museum until June 24.
Everyone can probably recite the first four lines, but how many of us have heard that fifth line?   Not me, nor my wife, Linda, for two.
The new exhibit features some of the very special bridal gowns, among things, that reflect the wedding stories of King Township residents.

  2. I even did not know that a silver 6 pence existed.
