Contrails over Aurora at sunset...

The photo above shows contrails (condensations trails) photographed  over Aurora just before a recent sunset.   It seems they occur almost daily.  Contrails are a visible line of condensation in the sky behind an aircraft, especially by jet aircraft at very high altitude.

While there aren't regular daily flights, supposedly, with specific patterns over southern Canada by both the US Air Force and the Canadian Air Force, there are instances of joint exercises and training missions that may involve patterned flight activity.

The RCAF does conduct routine air patrols and training exercises, some of which might be visible in southern Canada.   Similarly, the USAF may conduct exercises in Canadian airspace, which could include patterned flights..  These are not however, daily.

Please comment if you wish.
