Pictured here, in a sunny bow window setting, is a Cranberry Glass collection belonging to a resident of Delmanor Retirement Residence in Aurora. Cranberry glass is a type of glassware known for its distinct pinkish-red colour, achieved by adding gold salts or colloidal gold to molten glass. The resulting colour can range from a light pink to a deep burgundy, and is often more intense at the edges of where the glass was blown.
