Spring migrants right on time...

 Photos by Barry Wallace
Oriole and white-crowned Sparrow arrive

A male Northern (Baltimore) Oriole and two White-crowned Sparrows showed up in the garden, here on Forde Crescent, on May 5th, as they usually do each year.  The White-crowned Sparrows are usually followed by the White-throated Sparrows, that are then followed by the Rudy-throated Hummingbirds, which always show up between May 3rd and 10th.   Their timing is a bit spooky when one considers the distances covered and the variable weather conditions.    Please comment if you wish.
