There was time when flights over King City, from this farm, were seen by many. The plane still looks pretty good, but its hanger looks a bit neglected.
I flew in that plane as a kid. First plane I’d ever been in. 2 seater Cub. Flown by Mr. Alan Crossley. They had two of them. The other one was white. Flew in that one too. They also had an open cockpit bi-plane.
Clive - the bi-plane could possibly have be Carltons . There are some great stories about his adventures when he was a bush pilot and a test pilot during WW1. Do you know if Dan is still at the farm?
I agree with you, I would not risk storing a plane that is probably still with at least $30K in barn in that condition
