Daniel Bertini died on July 24 of 2020 in a bicycle accident. If you drive on Keele Street often you will have no doubt noticed the tribute pictured above on the east side of Keele, north of the 16th Sideroad. Something caught my eye there recently and I stopped to take a picture. It turned out to be a hand-painted rock attached to the bike's left foot pedal. It reads "To teach is to touch a life forever". Mr. Bertini was a teacher in fact, as well as a father, husband, brother, son and friend. Amen.
