I suppose it was only a matter of time...

YELLOW WATERMELON
Pat and I were shopping at Longo's in Aurora on Wednesday and came across yellow watermelon. It was the first time either of us had seen yellow watermelon. Even the Longo's cashier said she had never seen yellow watermelon before. It cost $4.61 for a longitudinally cut quarter melon.
Pat and I have since taste-tested the yellow watermelon. It seemed perfectly ripe and juicy. The taste was similar to red watermelon, but ever-so-slightly less pronounced, and the taste didn't seem to last quite as long as red watermelon.
Nevertheless, Pat and I felt that icy cold, the yellow watermelon would be extremely thirst quenching. We are going to stick with the red watermelon however, on an ongoing basis.
