King City Library is open ~ despite appearances

Photos by Barry Wallace

The King City branch of the King Township Library looks fairly normal from the sidewalk in front of the library's attractive flower bed (top), but when seen from any other angle (2nd photo), the extent of the reconstruction of the street entrances/exits and the parking lot shows why there is no getting to the library from the King Road.   Entrance to the library is currently from the public school parking just north of the library, off King Blvd. (see bottom photo).  Entrance to the building is from the west side, temporarily. Yesterday, a staff member at the library said the parking lot paving is to take place this coming week and access and egress will be back to normal by next weekend.
